Among the deities of the Vanir sits Njord, the father of Freyr and Freyja, and husband of the giantess Skadi. Njord is seen as the god of wind and seas and is looked to by sailors for safe voyage and rich catches. This knife is forged from 5160 spring steel and is inspired by a fishers harpoon in shape. It is fit with a set of walnut handles with bronze pins. The sheath has a wooden inner core wrapped with leather and has an image of Njord tooled on the front. The piece is finished with beeswax and linseed oil.
