Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor. Forged in Svartalfheim by the dwarves Brokkr and Eitri. Mjolnir was one of many gifts brought before the gods in response to a wager set between Loki and Brokkr to see who were the greatest smiths in the land. Mjolnir was the greatest of the items that were forged. Soon, all the giants and beasts of Jotunheimr and Midgard came to fear Thor and his hammer. Since those days it has become a symbol of strength and courage against ones foes.
